We are always in need of funds to help dogs with veterinary bills and care, food and transportation.
We are funded 100% by donations and are not supported by any state or federal funding. We are not sanctioned by any groups, clubs or other organizations.
Without donations we would not be able to help as many Kangal Dogs and people with pets. Adoption fees do not replenish the money that we spend on each dog. On average, it will cost over $500 to properly vet a dog and then have it ready for adoption. If the dog or dogs in many cases have to be boarded, as fosters are not always readily available, the expense increases exponentially. Many dogs that we rescue are in boarding for more than 3 months. Our adoption fees average at about $250 per adult dog and there is no monetary gain for the rescue so we actually take a loss on almost every dog.
